Trans help

I really need some help on this one. I swapped in a np435, and all was going o.k. untill I went to start it. When it's running a loud noise, sounds like metal rubbing metal comes from the transmission, does'nt matter what gear, or if the clutch pedal is in. Moves in 1st & 2nd, but I've only moved a few feet out of the garage. Thank you in advance for your help.

86 f150 4x4 302 had AOD, now np435

Sounds like a problem with the throwout or pilot bearing.

well, I guess I'll be pulling the transmission out again and checking everything over again.
