have you pulled the fan out to see if anything is in there with it? leaves and other trash could have built up in there and its stopping. or you could have a shorted or broken wire thats not making good connectivity. or a plug thats not on all the way.

The next time it quits working pull the power plug out of the blower motor and see if you have 12v.The one wire should have 12v and the other wire should be grounded.The fan switch should be on the ground side of the circuit so if you have 12v but no ground on the other wire then your switch is probably faulty.If you have ground on one wire but not 12v then you have a power problem.If both wires are ok then your blower motor is pooched.The blower motor used in Bronco II's is fairly common at the wreckers, they used the same ones in all the Bronco II's and Rangers up into at least the early 90's and the early Explorers as well.They even used the same one in Aerostars but the Aerostar one has a different fan on it so you just need to replace it with the Bronco II one.
