first thing to do would be to pick up a haynes manual at the auto parts store or go on ebay and look for the ford factory shop manual for your year of vehicle.
either would give you more specs than you'll ever need.

some folks will be able to give info on random questions like that, but if you pick up a manual, you'll have the info +some and most of what you need to do the repairs.

You have dual tanks, run one of them dry, (that's be a good time to replace your probably ancient fuel filter) then fill it up and see what the gas station pump says for total gallons. Then, drive on just that tank till it's dry again and calculate your mileage. EVERYONE's gas mileage is different. depends on type of engine, conditions, driving technique, etc, etc, etc.

I gotta disagree about running a tank til it's dry. You'll be sucking all the crap into the filter.
By the way, I happen to look down into the bottom of my 2.5 gal read gas container, which I've had for years. To my amazement, a bunch of rather large pieces of crud...each like 2 or 3 mm. It is only opened when filling or emptying.

Your front tank is probably about 19 gallons and the rear should be about 16 gallons.

he he he. yup. you'll suck up the goop. That's why I said it'd be a good time to change the filter after that.

MILEAGE: The EPA published this stuff. Gotta specify the transmission and engine size. Search this forum, there's been alot of references to the listed mileages.

TANKS: Ditto.
