Econoline Van Interior

Econoline Van Interior
My 1964 Econoline is going to be painted shortly. I'm looking at options for what to do to the interior. What I took down for the headliner was a white pressboard material, like cardboard. The sides on the inside of the van dont have any covering. I had heard that they used sheet metal panels sometimes, but have never seen any.
Does anyone out there have any good ideas for headliners and wall liners? I was thinking some sort of wood panelling.
Just wondering what you guys have.

Thanks for the replies.
I like the idea of insulation. What type of insulation would not cause the moisture problems?
I was also thinking of using a big rubber mat, cut to fit, to put on the floor throughout the van. Do any of you use such a floor covering or just go bare? I was thinking it would cut down on the noise quite a bit.

That bender board sound good. You can probally bend it the the shape of your vans corners at the back and paint it to match the vans exterior. I have not seen bender board, actually I'm not familiar with it. I presume a person could paint it to match.
I go with the rubber mat for the floor. Spray liner stuff has a rough texture and will look dirty real quick inside the van and to clean the dirty look you would have to go to a car wash or get a brush and soapy water to scrub down. In truck boxes that is ok, cause you can go to a car wash and power wash the dirt. I do not know wjere you can get a mat. I know years ago guys use to go to truck specialty places and buy the rubber mats and cut them to fit their truck boxes. Maybe a truck specialty place your way can help in that area. With a rubber mat you can roll it up and out to clean with a garden hose. Then mop the floor before putting back. I think less hassle in cleaning. It would deaden the road noise.
