Looking for new stuff
I have a single vacume wiper. I would like to upgrade to an electric duel wiper system. I have heard speedway was good. But, that is only the motor. I still would need the mechanicals, arms and blades for the duel setup.
I am also looking for a molded carpet set.
Any recommendations from someone who has gone before?

John, I have a 48 f1 with the same setup you have, single wiper. I recently found a two wiper assy, vacuum, from a 50/51 f1. My plan was to use a standard GM wiper motor, alittle fab work on the linkage and be done. However....there are two braces under the dash on a 48 that apparently don't exist on a 51. Also, the cowl vent handle is in the way. I noticed one vender of the $275.00 kits notes that the braces must be modified for the kit to fit, and the picture looks like it has a brace included to replace the stock one. My plan now is to remove the braces, work around the vent handle, and fab new braces when everything is working. I'll look at the pictures of the kits available, and probably copy what they've done.
