bii SEAT LEAN
is there a repair to this problem with the drivers side seat lean on a BII
or do i need to see if a can find another seat

I have the same problem and have taken the seat apart to try to fix it. The frame is weak and breaks very easily. We tried rivets and welding. Still not strong enough. I would recomend replacing it with another seat.

I took both of my seats apart and where the welds broke, just drilled them out and put in bolts. Still good a year later.

just repaired my buddies seat we removed the foam and cover then weled the broken frame adding a extra strip of metal at the crack worked great

Does anybody know if I could get some new leather Explorer seats in there?

i figured it out lol
i just fold the rear seat down behind the drivers and i am tall enough that it holds the seat straight.

I took off the cover, pulled the seat to slightly the opposite lean, then drilled it and put big rivits in. Works great!
Yeah, I am a bit overweight too, but my seat was broken to begin with.
