Question Alarm Range?

Just wandering if anyone has experimented with moving their alarm antenna around the truck to get better range, and if so where did you get the best results? (I'm trying to get maximum range on the remote start)

I used to have mine down at the bottom of the dash and it did better than I expected. I now have it at the top of the windshield and the range only changed by maybe five feet, so it didn't seem to make much difference where I put it.

I replaced mine with a (Pager) "Autopage". The range for the remote start is unreal. I tried it at the mall last weekend and it had actually shut off by the time I walked to it. We reset the key delay so that doesn't happen again. The antenna is now mounted in the lower left hand corner of the w/s, instead of above the rear view mirror.

what exactlly do you mean you replaced yours with a pager? Mine's a two-way page remote. The range for everthing but the remote start is fairly good.

My alarm did not originally have the page feature. When I had the shock sensor installed on the rear gate glass I upgraded to the AutoPage remote.
