when my grandfather died i recieved his truck a '77 ford. after talking with my family it appears that my truck has a f-150 body with a f-250 chassis and the drive train and axles of a f-350. is this possible? the model emblem says f-150 custom. and if this is possible what would be the best thing to do to rebuild it myself? i'm at a loss here i have never heard of such a thing. any help would be appreciated. feel free to email me.
Cold,
Your body is a F150.
Your frame is a F250
Your drivetrain is a F350.
What's the big deal. The ford truck is often referred to as third universal vehicle. That is because so much of it is interchangeable. Don't sweat it. Just pay attention. Your learning curve will be a little greater than some but, as far as a restoration is concerned your free to do as you wish. Nothing is original and everything is custom. Do what you want, your grandpa did!

Mike the sheetmetal is the same on all of those, no difference. The chassis of a F250 is the same as a F150. The difference between the F150, 250, & 350 is below the chassis, mostly in the springs and axles.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
Well, you've got a truck with axles(legs), like a polish potatoe picker , a frame(body) like a belly dancer , and headlights(knockers) like Raquel Welch , and it doesn't have a brain --OH MAN , just grab the wheel and and enjoy Da ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!fd :-X11
