Now I know there are tons of leveling kit threads, but they are mostly about which brand to get. I just want to know what does everyone like better on the 05-06 f150 4x4's. A 2 inch or 2.5 inch leveling kit.
I had a 2.5 in mine...took it out when I put the fabtech kit in it but actually left the bottom polyurethane in so it gave me 7" and then added a leaf to the back to lift rear but I was happy with my 2.5" which was from skyjacker....I install lift kits anyways and I always put the 2.5 in because better to be too much than too little.

2" on SWMBO's F-150 SCrew to get exactly level; 2.5" would have been too much, at least on this truck.
How true is the finshed height to the 2 or 2.5. Do you actually get the full 2 or 2.5 or is it a little less or more. I'm asking to see if i could get a indication of where the front end would be sitting by measuring to help make a decision. The last thing i want is to be dissapointed because i got the 2 and wanted a little more, or worse get the 2.5 and have the rocket launch effect.
I've installed more than 200 of the skyjacker 2.5's and have never had anyone say it was too high and if they would i would just add a leaf to it anyways because those f150 sure can use a little help back there anyways...hope this helps
Thanks for all the info so far. I've been looking around trying to find this 2.5 autospring but I cant seem to find it anywhere. I thought they sold them on ebay but maybe I'm wrong. Maybe someone could point me in the right direction.
i just put a 2" on my 2004 XLT 4X4 scab and it looks perfectly level. There is no way i would have gone with the 2.5". Then again, i tow alot and the reason i got the 2" is so that when i tow it doesnt look like my truck is about to take off and fly away. But the 2" looks level to me.
I have a 2005 f-150 extended cab Fx4 and I just got a 2.5" leveling kit for it and is scheduled to be put on this monday...the kit is fairly simple looking with just the 2 spacers for the front but did anyone else think how the heck that kit could add 2.5 inches?? Because the spacer is only about an 1.5" tall but when you include the bolts that are already in place and measure from top to bottom it comes out to 2.5". Will this really raise the front 2.5" or 1.5"?
