Need Help

Yesterday morning a rubbing noise on deceleration occurred several times and my first thought was maybe the turbo problem but it really sounded kind of like two pieces of hard plastic rubbing together. Has not reoccurred yet but am really baffled as to what the heck it was. I never have had problems with the turbo and do not even no what that would sound like. Anybody else had this happen?

After reading other posts seems possible the " waste gate " contolling back pressure is the or could be the culprit. How much of the operation of these are computer generated and what are the chances it will not happen again. Anyone?

Do you hear this when you chop the throttle? You have no waste gate and any excess boost relieves itself out the intake tube.

Just on decelaration. But like I said it has not done it since. Sounded like tire hitting wheel well.

It could be the infamous turbo fart. It sucks to troubleshoot a problem that doesn't happen all the time. Good luck.
