gears

would you recomend 4.10 gears or 3.73 gears if im gonna be mud raceing my 79 ford f-150 with a 400 attached to a c-6 tranny? will there be much diff. as far as it kicking down adn get going......if you can tell me when each top out it would be appreciated thanks kevin

i have 3.73s in a 3/4 ton with a Granny 4 and i top out around 5000 rpm at 90 mph, or better if i mess with the fuel and carb, but it isn't very cheap gas wise if you are gonna drive the truck very far because the milage will eat your wallet like fresh acid with any thing over 3.** ... just thought i would add my two cents.

4 on the floor <lookin for a 5th>
3.73 rear end
one crappie radio, but awsome pipes...

gears

What size tires are you using? Tire size has a lot to do with gear selection.

i am using 33's does anyone know where 4.10's top out???????
