I'm needing a dooley for my business (moving equipment). I currently own an 03 4x4 cc srw 6.0. I'm looking real hard at the GMC with the duramax. I just don't trust the 6.0 for a work truck. if anyone has a REAL good reason why not to switch, please speak now. I have been a devoted Ford truck owner for 20+ years, but this 6.0 put a bad taste in my mouth. yes the duramax has inj. problems, but GM is warranting them for 200k do you think Ford will hell no. I may revert back to the 7.3 that has been tried & true, but I'm not going to throw GM out of the picture, unless someone can persuade me.
I'd wait until '07 to buy any diesel. They are all changing.
Personally I like the way my 6.0 runs better than the D-Max, not saying they are bad but personal preference. I haul huge loads with my 6.0 and she hasn't missed a beat. I just wave at those D-Maxers as I pass them.
