I picked up a 94 psd that needed a engine. I had a good 7.3 IDI that i had laying around. I was going to put the IDI into the PSD truck until i started looking into it closely. I ended up picking up a PSD motor with 70,000 on it. It was a plug and play swap.
If money is no object, you could do it without a DONOR TRUCK. If not, you could probably buy a whole PSD truck for the cost.

How much of a benefit would it be to go from an IDI to a PSD? Besides more power and the PSD being easier to mod with a chip, I would say keep the IDI since it is probably easier to work on unless it has a problem. Are there any other advantages?
