We got the lock cylinder drilled out & replaced. Now we have a new problem.
The steering shaft is about 2" short of reaching where it needs to hook to the coupler that comes out of the steering box.Judging by the way the bolt holes line up with where it mounts under the dash, the column is in the same spot. The flange that meets the firewall is flush with the firewall. There is not anything that could have moved in the steering box is there? Judging by some rub marks the shaft looks like it is in the same spot in the box. HELP!!!!
The shaft between the box and the colum is movable. are you sure it didn't get jammed up and you just need to loosen it and pull it back into position?
