The 360-390 engine series ended with the 76 model year in trucks......The 351m\400 engine series was introduced beginning with the 77 model year, trucks---with the 460 being put into the 2 wheel dr. models and introduced into 4x4 models around 83 or 84......... :-X11
my f250 highboy 4 speed is 351m with divorced transfer and the hydrualic cylinder steering, and is a 77. i assume this is the early 77?? before serial y2001 right???

i have a 1977 ford high boy that we purchased new in feb.1977. it came with 351m.i will also tell ya since that time we have stroked it and getting about 425 hp easily out of it
