Welcome to the site.
I could tell you a few things, and so could some other people, but if you get this moved to the 335 forum there are alot of people that did what you want to do with all the knoledge to tell.
You already have a good intake(750 might be alittle to much), put headers and a good exhaust, that'll help alot too.
A good double roller timing chain too.
Cam: about .050 lift maybe even alittle more aggressive.
Some flat top pistons to raise your compression ratio to around 10:1.
Bore out the block to true up the cylinders and maybe a few other things.

Search the 335 series forum, lots of build recipes in there as to how to boost your compression, which cam to go with....

Aussie's have a excellent head, raises compression around 1 and half points. Dont have to replace piston unless boring out. These heads make excellent street heads, raises comp just about right and pump gas still works. I have a 400 with mild cam and aussie's heads, truck runs really good plus people always comment on how good it sounds.

Buck for buck I think the Aussie heads are best performance upgrade.

I've seen prices, but don't remember, about how much do they cost?
Also, if you do bore out .030 over or so and put new higher compression flat top pistons with a more agressive cam would you have to go up to the second or third grade of gas?

I have flat tops in mine withe the aussie heads and run hi-test (prem). Gas nowadays is crap! I run midgrade in my 05 f250 and hi-test in all my 70's.

Not sure but I think i have 10 or 10.5 compression. If Iused for everyday driver I would probably put dish in with the closed chamber heads. Closed chambers do burn better pinging is generally not a problem.

Ebay has heads all the time $300 for cores, dont need big buck valves but get good ones, Ford stockers are crap, seem to many drop and damage motor to junk!

It will cost close to a grand for cores, good valves, springs, and machining of heads. Have your heads checked for sure, no matter what you use they are used and should be looked at. I would up your cam at this time also. I have wiped out 3 cams in the last six months, never had problems before, I will only rebuild with roller cams.

Talk to a good local engine guy and do your game plan, wallet has last say and I never stay in budget!
