Ceramic-Coat Headers -- HELP!!!
I'm new to the group and thought I would post a question that I've been mulling over for a while now. I'm rebuilding a 400M to be a couple of steps above stock and am wondering what all the hype is about ceramic coat headers. Are they really worth the extra cash? I know that they reduce engine heat but I'm worried about it chipping. I was discussing the pro's and con's with a buddy and the point was brought up that if a rock should chip the coating then, the extra money spent is a waste. I've seen manufacturer's stating that their product it rust proof and chip resistant but, come on, how realistic is that statement? Does anyone have 1st hand experience in this department? Thanks:+
There has been a multitude of discussions in the Exhaust Forum about this subject.
