So I should not upgrade to Moly rings for a daily driver?
I would suggest not.
One thing that I did not mention, (which is in favor of moly rings,) is that in cases of severe detonation they are less likely to shatter. But anyone who is halfway aware of their engine is never going to allow detonation (extreme pinging,) to get that out of control.
On behalf of the standard iron rings, take note of all the posts on this site where guys pull down their engines with extreme high milage, expecting the worst, and find the original crosshatching in the cylinders in good shape.
