I was just wondering about what type of spark plugs use?. I was looking and noticed that there is the cheaper V groove plugs, and the more expensive platinum plugs, which claim you can get better milage and acceleration.
What's your opinion??
I change my spark plugs once a year, oh yeah my truck is a 79 F-250 with a 400M.
i run platnum plugs in my 390 and they are good. they are a little more expensive but they are worth it. i run champion truck plugs witch are platnum.

Honestly...the only difference between the platinum and regular spark plugs (to me) are that the platinums' will last longer due to the platinum coating. Me...I just run regular Motorcraft plugs in my 351. They fire good. Now when I drop the 429 in I'll probably use a different plug but for now, the Motorcrafts work just fine.
1978 F-150 flareside. Primitive by todays standards but she was a jaw dropper back then. :-staun
as long as it puts off a spark, one spark plug will be as good as the next. The only reason to get a platinum one would be for life of the plug, which will be longer because of resistance to corrosion.
