Question quick question about tires

Will 285/75/16 work on my 2000 f250cc factory rims. I think the answer is yes but I want to make sure before I order the tires. The tires are cooper ats,I can get them for 157.00 per tire installed, balanced, new valve stem, and disposal of my old ones.

They will fit with no prob on your factory wheels with lift needed. Check the weight ratings of the tire first if max GVWR is important to you. I hear that Cooper ATS is a good tire. I've never used it though.

Sounds like I need a lift kit. Do not know if I want to go that far. I like lift kits but this is not the I want to do it to.

The LT285/75R16 tire is only one inch taller and one inch wider...than the stock LT265/75R16. No lift should be necessary...at least NOT in my application. I am currently running the LT285's...and I am all stock.

no lift needed and no rubbing,, no increased treadweare, in most cases, the speedo isnt even off, just nicer looks, its all benefits with this upgrade!

my speedo with 265's read slightly under at 70mph, now it reads dead on with the 285's

My speedo also went to dead on with the 285's. That is checking it with the radar things coming into construction zones. All stock, no lift, no rubbing.

I had them on mine with just a little rubbing. I know have 37s and have one of my 285s mounted as a spare in the stock spare tire location under the bed.

will the 33 inch 285/75 work as a spare with 37's on the truck? it's kinda a little too small isn't it?

It is, but in an emergency. The 285 is under the bed.
