I hope I'm posting this at the right place. I'm old and slow. My new 2005 F-150 is the love of my life (I told you I'm old), with this exception: the bottom seat on the driver's side doesn't have enough cushion support for my bony rear end. It easily "bottoms out," making an extended drive very uncomfortable. I don't have this problem with any other vehicle...never have. I don't have the problem with the front passenger seat. Both seats look alike but sure don't ride the same.
I weigh 170 lbs. Does this sound like a warranty issue? Could the seat be defective? I'm not a finnicky person, but I'm afraid my dealer will think it's all in my mind (instead of my tail). Has anyone else had this problem?
Several people have complained about seat comfort on this forum. My seat doesn't bottom out and I weigh 200 lbs. Your dealer might be able to help you. Maybe test drive some seats on their lot and see if there is a difference in comfort.
Good Luck
If your somewhat handy you can remove the seat covers and add some padding under neath. I just went to walmart and bought some pillow stuffing and added about 1/2 inch under the cover and it made a very big improvement. You could prolly add 2 inchs or so but it makes the seat look funny in my opinion. Good Luck
