These are the steps for an '04, but I believe they are the same for '03's. First make sure the doors are unlocked using the power doorlock "UNLOCK" button on the drivers door. Next, cycle the ignition rapidly from "OFF" (not the position where you can remove the key, but the 1st turn past that clockwise) to "ON" 8 times (technically, it only counts when you hit the ON position 8 times, so it would go; OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON) ending with "ON". If the door locks, lock and unlock your in program mode. Now, within 20 seconds of entering program mode press either the "Lock" or "Unlock" button on the transmitter you wish to program (if you take longer than 20 seconds you'll have to start over). The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the transmitter has been programmed. Once you've programmed the remote, turn the ignition switch back to "Off", the door locks should lock and unlock to confirm you've exited program mode and you're done.

one more thing , my wife was at work and a guy parked next to her has a truck like her's and she was hitting her unlock button and her truck and his both unlocked. but when he does his only his will unlock.. that tells me that his truck has had other remotes added to it and most likly her's has not. has to be kinda of rare ? huh

I'd go buy lottery tickets. With as many codes as these things have that's got to be rare. Or, he was just messing with your wife and pressing his remote each time she pressed hers.

If she can unlock his, but not vice-a-versa, he better be nice to her or he'll end-up with a surprise in his truck's seat. I'm just kidding. Seriously though, he might want to try and reprogram his transmitters. I would hate to think that if she were near his truck when she unlocked her doors that his would unlock and leave his truck open for theft.

Are you programming both transmitters at the same time? That is to say, while you're in the same program mode. Or are you programming one, exiting program mode, then re-entering program mode and programming the second transmitter? Hopefully it's the former. I know there's a way to wipe the slate clean of any transmitter's on these things, I just don't remeber what it is at the moment, I'll have to look for that info. Hopefully you won't need it.
