BB 390 Pulleys source ??
I am doing a ground up rebuild of the entire truck from electrolysis on the full frame, new disc brake system (all round. No more Drums), Air ride self leveling 4 full bags, custom Cab mods, new rubber, full cut and weld of all cancer (rust), and all the bells and whistles.
So after all the overhaul and custom work that I’ve planed for the chassis I would like to dress the engine appropriately. I’m installing a 4 core radiator with dual electric fans so the pump mounted fan goes bye bye. I would like to go with billet pulleys and possibly a single serpentine belt, but I have not been able to find suitable parts for the 360-390 as small blocks sets seem to be all that’s out there. I plan to add an AC compressor as well and from what I’ve seen most are set up with a two belt system. This would be fine but as I said I have had trouble locating the sets. I do have a 10” lathe but without some pattern info producing my own could turn into a bit of a headache in several ways.
Does anybody have a reasonably priced set out there and if so do they have a web page?
Additionally does anybody have specs for producing engine pulleys or recommend a book for that?
thanks
John

A serpentine setup would be nice, if you find anything that works letus know.
But you'd have to add a touch of your own to make em stand out.
The Killer on making them is the pricing of stock. To order 6 inch diameter 6061 round bar is like 33$ an inch and for the crank you'll want at least a four ich long slug to start. So there are only a few alternates to cut the cost:
1st go to scrap yard and find something to work with. Not realy positive of aloy and not consistantly available.
2nd make steel prototypes with about a 1/8 th heavy thickness and use as forms for sand-casting pulley set. Then chuck into lathe and trim out. Again your not realy positive of alloy and not consistantly available.
Another option may just be to make em out'o steel from the scraper with an option to powdercoat. This is the cheapest one I can think of and strongest for a low price.
Heavier though it is I inclined think guy's might pay for a cheaper steel kit to get the conversion to serpentine.
What do you think?
