Bed assembly - on or off?

I hope to start assembly of my bed next week. Should I assembley it off on some level horses or put it on the frame and assemble it in plece.

Also it may sound like a stupeid question but autos are pretty new to me. Should I torque the bolts and if so to what?

I assembled mine on jack stands, so I would say use the saw horses. You'll have to crawl underneath to tighten the bolts for the wood, it's that much easier off the truck. As for torquing the bolts, just tighten them up, no specific torque really.

Assembled my 55's on stands, wood and all. Much easier that way.
