I removed my bumper and made a mount between the frame rails and mounted a Ramsey 8000. I mounted the winch on a Ramsey Jeep style box mount with roller fairlead and then cut a cut out in the bumper large enought for the roller fairlead and a notch to operate the clutch lever. I extended the wiring and mounted the plug in the grill using a 6" style extension fabricated out of pipe. The whole thing came out well, would be difficult to steal and tucked away but there when you need it. I would assume that since mine is an 89, the area behind the bumper would be similar plus the mount was cheap, just a little work. Good luck. I could send you a pic if you are interested.

I built a custom bumper, but my winch is on a 2" receiver hitch. I can take it off and store it inside when i don't need it, and it also gives me flexability to put the winch in the rear too for when i'd rather get back out than keep going. If your truck is a daily driver, I would highly suggest thinking about using a 2" receiver system.
