OK, I just joined up. I'm gonna need more help than I can give. 89' F-150 in-line 6 2WD manual w/220,000 miles. 2 problems- 1st No headlights (parking, tailights, turn signals, all good, but no headlights. Can't be the bulbs- both at once? There's only a fuse for headlight switch- I'll see if someone can help me with this first as it's an emergency for me.

It could be the dimmer switch. Do you have a testlight or voltmeter to do a little testing?

Did you check both high and low beams?

I get high beams if I tap the dimmer switch (the high beam/low beam switch on the floor) but the low beams are out.

I do, but I've no experience in tracking down electrical problems. I think I might just replace that dimmer switch, to start- I'm headed to parts store.

If that doesn't fix it, write back in and we can help you use that meter or testlight.
