4x4 or not

4x4 or not
how can you tell if it is 4wd by looking at it? The vin is useless here. How else from internet pictures could I tell? Its at www.gordie.com the west bend dealer has a older F250 with a 7.3PSD and Manual. Much interested but not if its 2wd.

Actually the VIN does tell the story. The 5-7 position in the vin indicates it's a 4x2. Here's a link to look at:Superduty FAQ's. It's the sticky thread at the top of this forum (not trying to be a wisenheimer about it, we just sometimes forget about the FAQ thread.)

I forgot that that was in there. I thought the truck wasnt 4wd by how it sat. (like Im an expert)

That truck is NOT 4wd. You'd know if it had 4wd by looking at the front wheels. If the center cap in the front isn't solid like the rear, but has "holes" in them (for the front hubs), the truck has 4wd.
