what was the stock thickness of the head gaskets? i noticed the aftermarket oe replacements are .060. what would that do to the compression?

Mike, I took the .020 gaskets off mine when I got it back from the builder and put the .041s on it to lower the compression. It was 9.94 I believe with the .020 and 9.46 with the .041. I dont know the stock factory thickness

i pulled what i believe to be an unmolested 360 apart a few weeks ago.. the head gaskets seperated like a cheap mr gasket but i found the pieces and got a thickness of about .054 with the digital calipers.. this isnt real accurate for ya cuz they've been compressed and then pulled apart and held together as best as possible.. its gotta be fairly close though..
