new v10 owner 2000 excursion need help

hi folks new to site and ford just bought 2000 excursion and not to happy with engine performance acceleration from stop is pretty sad i like the vehicle for interior comforts but need better performance been reading posts on sight and cant find out what gear vehicle has running about 2500 rpm at 75 with stock 265 75r16 tires i'm thinking of buying a new 05 while i can and want to get the right setup. any help on upgrades will be apprecciated dont want to get to crazy on high performance has to be reliable for wife and kids. may keep 2000 for toy and dress it up a little who knows get a little crazy and see how fast i can get it to go. i dont know to much about fords always had chevy's right now i own a 79 3/4 ton chevy suburban with 454 and it will run circles around this ford can someone help me out a little i really get a kick out of driving a big ol boat and passing all the little hopped up rice burners like they're standing still this v10 has to have more potential than this 26 yr old chevy though it does run pretty darn good. please help thanks

I'll bet you have 3.73's but still your 79 carburated 454 Burb Spanks your X. I had a 76 3/4 454 Burb w/4.10 and my 99 V10 crew sb with 4.30's would smoke my ole' stock 454.
Can we assume your Burb s stock, if so you may have a X problem, have you checked your air/fuel filter? How many miles are on your X. Give us some more info on your truck .
