main engine wiring harness shot.
I have an 84 bronco with a carborated 351w and the wiring harness is too far gone to repair. i found a good harness out of an 88 f150 for 30$. they both are for 351w the newer truck is fuel injected and the older is carborated. will the newer harness work on the older engine? Im pretty sure it will if they both have the same type of ignition system am i right?

They'll be quite different. The EFI harness has the wiring for the injectors and sensors, and I don't think the plugs where it connects to the main harness will match up. Better that you look for one from a carbed engine closer in year to your Bronco.

Unless you need it for carb emissions, there is no reason you can not add a aftermarket dist. with electronic ignition and a coil and ditch the Duraspark (?). Then you only need two wires, ignition on and 12+ positive.
