wiper delay switch /were to install it ?

Bought a wiper delay switch and box to install in my 1979 F150 custom, the two speed was driving me nuts in the winter, the black delay box has a bracket with two scews, what part under the dash does it attach to? Any pictures ? Will the metal dash already have the two holes drilled for the black box bracket for a easy install?

Try this:

I can't remember how but I do know that the box mounts in some way that is not visible outside the dash. Don't drill holes in the dash where you can see them.

I think the holes are on the metal braces behind the gauge panel. That is where I drilled holes and mounted mine on the 67.

mine is not "mounted" it just hangs out with the rest of the wires under the dash.

If you look under the dash below the wiper switch, there is a rolled edge of dash metal, and there are already a few holes in there for various things, and probably a screw or two already installed. These switches were mounted in various locations through the years, but for your year, the stock location should be on that rolled edge, with the bracket positioned so that the 'L' shape sits on top of the rolled edge, and match at least one screw hole with an existing hole. One is all you need, and is in fact a factory install. This places the black box in an upright position. You will not see it. Later years (80's) had the box mounted higher up closer to the column, sometimes even attached to an 'extra' bracket, which made installation/removal more difficult.

One more note; Make sure the black wire has a good ground. (hopefully it has the black wire still on it). The mounting screw itself is a good ground.
