2001 F350 PS, 4X4, crew . . .
My block heater does not work. Hasn't been getting block warm, and local stealership said it was bad. What they didn't say is if it was the cord or the heater core itself.
Which is the most likely to go bad? Cord, or unit itself?
Anyway to test for one or the other?
A visual inspection of the cord indicates it is plugged in and no obvious wear in cord.
Nothing in my Haynes book about it!
Thanking you in advance . . .
Mine went bad last year, ended up being the cord. You can check the wires from end to end for continuity, not sure what the resistance should be, but would be able to tell you something.
