Unhappy Theft Question

Is there some sort of stock anti-theft device in a '94 XL?

There was an option but I think it only came with the power accessories and maybe only with the XLT and above models. I have a 1994 XL and dont have any factory installed theft system.

The factory anti-theft systems were in their infancy in the light truck lines at that point and they were optional across all trim levels just depended upon whether the buyer was willing to cough up the extra dough to have it put in.
