the truck's CEL just barely started to flicker on while driving to work this morning. i just pulled codes and received the following:
KOEO code 11 (yay!)
CM code 32
according to http://fordfuelinjection.com/index.php?p=14 , this code means "EVP circuit has intermittently failed below minimum voltage of 0.24 volts." anyone wanna translate that to english for me?
Run a test while the engine is running to see if that code comes up.
32 might mean that the EVP sensor is going bad. A fast way to test it, is too backprobe it with a voltmeter, and push the EVP plunger all the way in. You should see the voltage rise as you press the plunger in.
It's the sensor that sits on top of the EGR Valve. It has a little 'plunger' gets shoved in as the EGR valve opens. Voltage rises as the plunger gets shoved in. The PCM(computer) sees this voltage so it knows exactly how much the EGR valve is open.
