Help - Won't Start!!!

1995 F150 4x4 XLT, 4.9L 5 speed, dual tanks

I worked on my truck yesterday and now it won't start. I changed the serpenine belt, and tried to fix a broken dash mount. It ran after I changed the belt, but after I loosened up the dash then put it back in, it cranked slow. I charged up the battery overnight, however, it cranks but no start. I don't think that these are related but it does seem like a coincidence.

Nevertheless, I pulled a spark plug and didn't see a spark. I then attached a tester and I checked the spark at the coil and at the plug, which looked OK. The spark at the plug as a little weak (maybe???). I checked the coil primary and secondary voltage, and it looked OK which where ~.6 ohms and 8500 ohms, respectively.

I don't hear the fuel pumps kicking in when I turn the key to the Run posiition, but I don't get a single fire after I sprayed throttle body cleaner or when I poured a little alchohol down the throttle body. The Haynes manual says that if I don't hear the fuel pumps then I should check the EEC-IV PCM for voltage. However, the checks they refer to are cryptic and nonsensical.

How can I simplify this check?

the fuel shut off is in that area did you trip it?

maybe you pinched a wire.

describe exactly what you did in the dash area and we may be able to haelp you.

the computer is also in that area.

Yep, it was the inertia switch. I didn't see how those were related, but I finally decided to check it since it could be related. The Haynes manual said it was on the driver's firewall, the opposite from where I worked. However, I couldn't find it. I then checked the owner's manual, and it's under the right kick panel -exactly where I was working! Set the switch and bingo!

Whew!

I love the simple fixes! And it was a good opportunity to check my coil. I thought it might be time to replace, but it looks OK to me.

Thanks for the help!
