Steering stabilizer

I've had trouble keeping the steering stabilizer on my truck. It kept breaking at the end of the rod. I put on another single OEM and then a single aftermarket, now have a dual after market. has any one else had trouble with these?

I know I have a little bit larger tires and a small lift but is that it or do the front ends just take that more abuse from being so heavy? I have also replaced both wheel bearing assembly. I wish we could just put in bearing and not that whole assembly.

I've broken stabilizer mounts before, but not on the Superduty.

I'll move this to the offroad/4x4 section. Maybe somebody has seen it before.

It would be nice if we could repack the bearings on these things.

are you knocking it off on stuff when driving?
or possibly you have the mount too close to one side (not centered) and the steering box is breaking it off for you... i really doubt that though.

you really shouldn't need a stabilizer, i just pulled mine off and my powerstroke steers so much better. when i pulled the stabilizer off my white truck with 39's she steered so much easier, then i went ot hydro assist

I got rid of mine and tied bungee cords from the ball joints to the center of the axle on both sides... it helped a lot too. you should do the same, or at least lose one of the stabilizers, two is waaaay overkill for you,.
