I just bought a 1995 Ford F250 with the Powerstroke diesel. When I bought it the coolant temp gauge didn't work and there is a mechanical gauge installed. I want to hookup the original gauge, but to test it first...
In my old Mustangs you could ground the wire going to the sending unit and it will make the gauge jump over to hot. Can you do this with these new trucks too?
Also, could the gauge missing be the reason I don't seem to have a high cold idle? Thanks for the help - Peter
