Idle, carb problem

Hey yall, i am Jordan (1bad71f100), I sold my 71 F-100 and got a 73 Bronco. There is not as many people who respond to questions in the Early Bronco forum, so i am posting this in here. Anyways, i have a stock 302 and a 3 spd tranny. I recently ran the bronco out of gas, which destroyed the fuel pump. i put a new fuel pump on and it was running good, Today, i was driving it and it decided that it didnt want to idle. I adjusted the air/fuel mixture to 1.5 turns each. It still wont idle. The choke is opening when it gets warm. Does anyone know what to do??

Does it not want to idle when its hot, or is it irratic or what?

Yeah when it gets hot it starts actin up. It is a smooth idle at first then when you tap the gas and let off, it wont go back to idling, it stalls out. Could it be the coil?? Maybe the float??

i assume it is the stock 2bbl? if so rebuild it and go form there. install new carb mount gaskets too. www.kragen.com look it up as a 75 ford f 150 with 5.9 360 it is the same kit for all of the 2bbl MC carbs but the price for the 75 is 10.00 cheaper.
