Changing Head Gaskets... HELP! Thanks!
Hello guys! I am new to the forum! I hope you can help. I have a 1996 F350 that blew a head gasket last weekend. My Dad and I build SCCA racecars...so I have experience working on engines and such... However I have never worked with a Powerstroke 7.3. Can someone please talk to me about what kind of job I am facing. Do's... dont's... Is there a good manual to use? I understand that these heads are HEAVEY... other than that...can someone please talk to me about the challenges I will face...

I bought a chiltons manual from oriellys it seems to be pretty good reference. I just pulled engine last weeekend so i could replace stock headbolts with A-1 headstuds. Its not to bad of project, i think it took me and a buddy 4 hrs start to finish and thats including the trip across town to get engine stand.
