Driveline angle?

Ok I just put in an np 435/205 combo. this is 2.5 inches back and I lifted the truck 2 more inches. On top of that i added a Sterling out of an 87' 1 ton diesel in it. This being said my drive shaft angle is much steepr and a shorter shaft. Would I be ok witht he front slip yoke or should I run cv's? I am not really sure what to do here this is my first 4x4 project. thanks

Here's a few questions for you, is it together and runnning,
check for vibration when you accel & decel or at a steady run.
If all is smooth all is most likely good.

What angles are we talking about here?

That's the most important question. If you're not sure grab a magnetic angle finder or a protractor can do the trick in a pinch. Did you lift it 2" total?

Easiest way to actually "test" the driveline if you have one you can install right now is to jack the truck up by the frame (not the axle) so the axle is at full droop. Put the t-case in neutral and go turn your driveshaft by hand. Pay careful attention to the u-joints to make sure the yokes aren't binding at all. Realistically this is the steepest angle your shaft would be at (and only if you caught air) so if it turns freely with no binding then you're good to go. I've seen VERY few rear shafts that had to be CV'd. Not to say it never happens but typically it'll take a pretty extreme lift to require a rear CV. Another option is to upgrade a 1410 yokes and u-joints as they'll operate at a much more extreme angle.

Oh ok that was my other question. 1410 series yokes. Where can I find those? I put on some better leaf springs that lifted it a bit, But i cannot even put a driveshaft on it yet because the np435/205 is a few inches farther back than my t18 and model 21 was. that really helped thanks guys. Every day we get closer, this weekend we got the 390 gt in (and running today!) the tranny and transfer case! I am real excited about getting it running.

I know Jess at www.highangledriveline.com sells the yokes. He can also make you a driveline if you need and he does top notch work. Give him a call and he can set you up with everything you need.
