04 5.4L transmssion problem..

04 5.4L transmssion problem..
My F150 FX4 with 12,000 miles just developed a loud scraping or grinding noise. Seems to be from the transmission or transfer case. It happens in 2wd at 20-30 mph. Intermittent. The noise continues until I slow down or stop. The tranny does not slip or buck. Fluid is ok. Any ideas?
