90 bronco 302 fi 5 speed what should be the realitive vacuum pulled on the drivers side hose that goes from the valve cover to my air filter box? mine has alot of vacuum on it and if I plug it it changes the was it runs it sat for a year just baught it tryin to get it runnin thanks also have a few post on this channel please check them all maybe tied together same problem thanks
I am assuming you are talking about the PCV air intake hose. This is where the air goes into the engine crankcase. The other valve cover should have a PCV valve. This is what should be metering the suction on the crankcase.
Do you have a PCV valve in the other valve cover? If not, you might have straight vacuum running to the engine. It's hard to believe it would run this way, but anything is possible.
You should have a little bit of vacuum on the hose you are concerned with. If you do, that means the rings in your engine are in very good shape.
Here's a picture of a carbed system. Yours works the same, except your aircleaner is not on top of the engine.
