if you give me a little while i can go take a picture. to drill the hole i used a 1 1/16'' spade drill bit made for wood. worked great. then i used 2 plastic push screws in the 2 1/4'' holes i drilled.
Wow. That is neat. I did not know that these ol trucks had a manual cargo light. That is in an odd place. Is that for easy access to the bulb wiring? I was thinking of adding a switch near the headlight switch on the lower dash.
Mission accomplished! Looks just like factory. If anyone needs the old dome light-only harness that I took out, contact me and I'll send it to you if you pay shipping. I did break the tabs off of the dome light mount connector getting it out, but other than that it's like new (only dusty). Brian
My switch didn't work when I got my truck. I wasn't too concerned about the stock look, so I bought a toggle switch from Radio Shack and just modified the hole. It works like new. I never had a cargo light in any of my previous trucks. This light is great.
Just a note to users............ as a a long time user let me explain ..that the great benefit to having a gallery ...is when you want to show somebody something ......you can just INVITE that person to your gallery to see it.
Rather than reposting Pics and increasing FTE's bandwidth and causing other users to download the pic without wanting to.This is especially the case when posting multiple pics (which is basically redundant to do this.
as you have it in one place and post it in another)
This is only an explanation on how things can be done to decrease costs to the site and relieve users of un-necessary downloads.

LINK'S work better than Images.
Nice to see nothing has changed here...
If I didn't have to waste my time going into my gallery to upload a pic, that would save time AND band width.
