Oil Pressure guage drop

My '01 4.2 has started doing something crazy this week as the weather turned cold. On two occasions as I left my house, the oil light came on and the guage dropped to zero a block from the house. I live on a steep hill and at first thought the oil may be low but it is full (it stays that way). Upon shutting off the engine and restarting, the guage and light show normal.
Any ideas? ECM? loose wire?, sending unit? All help appreciated!

Rick

My 2000 Xpe 5.4L does this also, but only when its really cold out. I suspect the sensor as well, but never bothered changing it. It did this last year for a little bit on super cold days, then didn't do it all year until the weather got cold a week or so ago.
