Any new options for 18" tires yet.
I went to Costco to check if they had any new info on options for replacement tires for my F350 4x4 w/ 18 " rims. They replied that nothing was available yet. I asked why there aint nothin yet when there are so many 05/06 4x4 SD's out there. The guy told me that there is only alot of these trucks where we are, in Northern Nevada, and that if I looked down in Southern Cal and most other places, they would mostly be 2x4. Is this true? Do I really have a rare comodity with my 05 4X4 Super Duty, compared to the rest of the world?
If this guy IS full of fecal matter (as I expect), and there ARE alot of 4x4's out there with 18" rims, then why aren't there more options by now. It seems the R&D should have been done by now and the market should be flooded with tires for 05/06 Super Duties. Am I wrong? Anyone have any new info? I would sure like to put on some E rated Michelins or something.

If you want to go a little smaller, I had the dealer put Wrangler AT/S 275/75/18 on mine one week after I bought it due balance problems. (even replaced the spare.) I have 10K on them now with one rotation. Good tire in florida sand, pretty quiet on the Highway. Only changes your speedo -3 mph. Has a real aggressive A/T tread. Not like the Contis.

Thanks, I looked up the Wrangler AT/S 275/75/18 at tire rack. They are more all terrain than winter tires. They do fairly well in light snow but are not rated for deep snow. They are quite a way down on people's preference list.
Wish I could buy true winter truck tires in the right size. I have a steep driveway and sometimes have trouble making it up in in 4 wheel drive. I have Blizzak LM 22's winter tires on my car that are great.

Last but not least... here's a link to the tires themselves!!

I've ran this setup for about 6,500 miles or so... no complaints yet. Rides good, handles good, looks good. Thing I like; is the face they are load range 'E's!
Hope this helps.... lemme know.

I sent michelin a email asking if they had somthing in the works. Below is their email reply.
Dear Mikesz06,
Thank you for visiting the Michelin Web site and sending us your e-mail.
Regarding your comments,
"When is Michelin going to have a LTX M/S in a 275 70 18/E. For a 05 or 06
F350? There is nothing out there for a replacement."
Unfortunately we do not have any information regarding this size,
LT275/70R18/E, being produced in the near future in the LTX M/S. We do
however show a possible future release of the LTX A/T in your size as this
tire is in development stage.
If you have additional questions, please respond to this email
or you may call us at 1-800-847-3435 (toll-free) between
8:30AM and 6:00PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday to allow
one of our Consumer Relations Representatives to assist you.

as to snow tires they are a most here in north west new jersey, esp when you live on the same mountain and use the same road up and down that the ski area is built on.
only thing to do is up size the tires and recal. the speedo.
