My audio/video system
I know this has been discussed alittle here before, but I thought I'd post this because I often get inquiries (in the other forums on this site) about my system. I'm certainly not saying my system is the best - but it works good for me.
Here's basically what's in it.
-EPIA M10000 motherboard and processor (about 7"x7")
-M1-ATX 12v DC power supply (very small and automatically powers up and shuts down with ignition)
-Custom lexan case (I built the case to fit under the console it's about 2"x8"x10")
-512mb ram
-20gb hard drive
-Lilliput Touch Screen (it has AV inputs for the PS2 or XBox depending on which kid wins the coin toss)
-400W AC 120v Invertor to run XBox and/or PS2
-mini keyboard (would recommend mini wireless - but couldn't find one)
-Rikaline usb GPS and Microsoft streets for software - but it's not great, there's much better out there.
-Netgear wireless ethernet (usb - forgot model number - not the best anyway - you'll want an external antenna)
-Verizon wireless adapter to dial in (internet) via cell phone
-XM radio via XM direct box - requires subscription
-Slotload CDRW-DVDR (for playing movies, backing up data)
-I use a tape deck adapter to get audio into my stock Ford head unit (radio), I'll be adding a 5 channel amp and new head unit and speakers (when the cash flow is better)
-Windows XP
-FrodoPlayer front end (software that makes windows look better (Doesn't look like windows) has a decent XM player)
