6.4 F150 Only????

Talked to a guy that works for Ford the other day and he told me that the 6.4 is a v6 and will only be available in the F150. Has ANYONE heard that before?

So a twin turbo larger displacement engine with more power in a smaller truck?

oh.

There is a v6 TT in the works for the f150 supposedly, but the 6.4 is a v8 and made for the superduties.

I think they were reffering too the 4.5 Twin turbo V6 - currently available in the LCF commercial vehicle.

The 6.4l is a V8 and will be in the SuperDuty

So it would appear EVEN the Ford guys don't know or they are purposely trying to spread disinformation about the 6.4

I know I was looking at the guy like a calf looking at a new gate.

Well I heard from a diesel tech, which he heard from a salesman, which he heard from the business office, which they heard from the accounting dept., which they heard from lot attendant, which he heard from his grandmother which dates a guy that works at a tea bagging plant in wisconsin that the new motor will be a 16cylinder snowmobile engine that runs on water.

and thats pretty much precisely how the myths we hear get started.

gossip, plain and simple. I dont trust the word unless its direct from ford, or I can see it with my own 2 eyes. proof is something I REQUIRE to believe the gossip.

You know Arctic Cat and Polaris designed it together and Harley Davidson is going to build them.

I haven't seen it... but during discussion when I had my 6.0 update course, the word was that the 4.5 would likely end up in Expeditions and Navigators, but most likely not the F150. I'm off to more training this week, so I'm sure that I'll probably hear more stories about it that I can pass on through the rumor mill.

The problem is that some folks hear, or comprehend, only parts of multiple stories. And /or they jump to conclusions and shut out the rest of the conversation because they now know everything. The Ford guy probably thinks he speaks the gospel when in fact he now knows less than when he knew nothing.
