I drove a few miles with the emergency brake partially on until the truck started to vibrate some. Yes, I do have a light on the dash but who looks at that. Is the EB connected to the rear brake pads only or did I burn friction material from all four wheels. Thanks in advance
I did that once in a Wrangler. Had this funny, brake burning smell afterward.
The next day, while getting up to hwy speed on a busy on ramp, my driver side rear axle separated from the differential, came out and shot up the road in front of me about 200 feet or so. That was a wild ride! I haven't been 3 wheelin' since then.
The EB was only partially applied and when the truck started to shake my first thought was that a pollution part in the system was failing again. When under warranty, a part related to the egr failed which mirrored this vibration. One thing that I am glad for, is that I put new Bendix Titanium pads on the front and they were apparently not effected.....happy I didn't do all the wheels as this is not a good way to wear out pads
