hey guy need a little advise. I just bought a new F-350 2 wheel drive well just new to me Its a 99 with 39000 miles.Yesterday when I put a pallet of tile on it th tires looked flat upon inspection they are cheap tires and not enough load capacity I belive 2140pnds per tire. Now my problem is at this weight it does not total the GVW when loaded.Only had the truck 1 week and it came from a local Ford dealership. Should I go back and ask them to the proper tires on this truck, and replace the new tires that are on there? It just seems to me that ford should have caught this before it left th lot.Any and all opinions appreciated.

Can't just pass the blame onto them, it is a used vehicle. YOU should have looked at this as well. The only thing they tend to look at is the actual tread depth on the tires to see if they pass. NOW, if they put those tires on, then YES, I'd make them replace them. But if the previous owner put them on and you purchased the truck as is, I'd say you're out of luck. But then the dealer may take care of you.
You could try to bring it back in. What's the worst they can say, NO!
depending on where you are located, i have a set of rims and tires (BFG all terrains) from my 2003 Lariat i would be willing to part with for dirt cheap. Only used for 18K miles, practically new. Pictures are in the classified section.
Sometimes we miss the little things when we are buying a "Used" vehicle. It has happened to me a few times.
I recommend what others have said. Go back to dealer and ask if they can replace the tires with a set that actually should be on the truck. If not, just look at your VIN sticker...and see what the tire should be and go buy a set. It's a bummer, but should be done anyway.
Well I went back and they said no. Man just gotta kick myself right in the **** for that one just totally missed it.The real bummer is I put tires on the truck I traded in not 2 months ago.I think I will be alright until race season starts.get through silly season then get some tires. Thanks for the replies.
