Exhaust leak

Exhaust leak

Changing oil today and noticed black soot around filter and engine block. Found leak between the block and manifold at cylinder closest to firewall. Not a big leak, but I was wondering if this could cause any other problems? Any advise is greatly appreciated, aloha.

I had the same problem..So I checked all the bolts on both manifolds and the only ones loose was the two that was next to the filter.. I tighten them down and exhaust leak is gone.

yes it will really mess up your manifold and its making you lose boost/ performance. our trucks dont come with gaskets originally. most people have to get the manifolds resurfaced when they take them off and then use a gasket. i would try tightening the bolts first.

Thanks for the replies! I tried tightening the bolts but was afraid of snapping them off. I will give it another try after soaking them with some solvent stuff, thanks and aloha.
